John P. Schwab, P.E.

Mr. John P. Schwab, P.E., has over 29 years of experience in the engineering and construction fields.  Following graduation from West Point, Mr. Schwab served as an Army Engineer officer providing on-site construction management on projects ranging from border roads in Texas to base camps in Saudi Arabia.  As the owner and principal engineer of JPS Engineering, Mr. Schwab has been involved in infrastructure planning, design, and contract administration for a wide range of public improvement and private development projects, including site development, roadway and drainage improvements, and water and wastewater system improvements.  He has extensive municipal experience, with repeated work for clients such as the City of Colorado Springs and City of Woodland Park. 

Mr. Schwab has developed considerable practical design experience as the engineer of record on over 500 civil infrastructure projects, and he has personally authored over 300 drainage reports for a broad variety of projects and jurisdictions.  Mr. Schwab was selected as drainage engineer and chairman of the City of Colorado Springs / El Paso County Drainage Board, and he has been called upon to provide expert testimony in the areas of site development, drainage, construction defects, and utilities.
